| Launched in 2004, “Windketcher” is classic wooden yacht designed by L. Francis Herreshoff and built by her local owners from detailed drawings supplied by the Architect, based on his own on 36’ ketch “Nereia”. Her little-used sails and diesel auxillary (less than 200 hours) are in fine shape, as is her strip-planked yellow cedar hull on oak frames with bronze fastenings. Her teak decks are in excellent condition and her beautifully designed cabin features overhead skylight hatches and large diameter cast bronze portlights, providing a bright cabin interior with great exterior visibility. The hardware on this unique vessel is of the highest quality, including a number of custom molded cast bronze fittings.
Having just been hauled and surveyed, “Windketcher” awaits a new owner and she’s priced to reflect the needed paint and varnish restoration of her exterior surfaces.
